Welcome to HICE 2026 – the High Impact Conference for Educators – the premier event for educators, administrators, and educational leaders committed to transforming the landscape of education. On Saturday, the 11th of April 2026, we are bringing together over 500 passionate educators, administrators, and thought leaders to share innovative ideas, inspire change, and collaborate on actionable strategies. As a flagship event of The Explore Foundation, HICE 2026 will provide a platform for impactful discussions on inclusive education, teacher leadership, and the role of educators in shaping the future of Nigeria’s education system. Our goal is to spark meaningful change through collaboration and empower educators to make a lasting impact.
Our theme “Empowering Educators: The Path to Transformation”, recognizes the pivotal role that educators play in shaping the future of students. Uche Monu
Uche Monu is the CEO and Lead Consultant at Silver Crest Educational Services Ltd.
A respected educator with over 15 years of experience in teacher training and school improvement.
She is the founder of The Explore Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to building a more inclusive and equitable future through education. The foundation empowers educators, promotes inclusive learning environments, and provides educational resources, with a special focus on public schools in Nigeria. She is the Convener of the High Impact Conference for Educators, the foundation’s flagship program.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in French, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Nottingham (UK), and an Advanced Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management. Uche is also an alumnus of the Senior Management Programme (SMP47) at the Lagos Business School. As a certified Montessori Directress, she earned an International Diploma in the Montessori Method of Education and is a strong advocate for inclusive learning, holding a Diploma in Special Educational Needs.
Uche’s journey into education began in 2010, when she founded and successfully ran The Explore Creativity Centre; an after-school centre in Asaba aimed at fostering and developing diverse skills in children. In 2020, she founded Silver Crest School in Lagos which evolved in Silver Crest Educational Services Ltd.
As a dynamic and visionary leader, she remains dedicated to excellence in education, continually refining her expertise through relevant training and professional development opportunities. She has participated in various educational short courses, seminars, and conferences and numerous professional development courses and classroom observations both in Nigeria and abroad.
In addition to her work in education, Uche is a travel consultant who has organized several international tours and conferences and has attended various industry-specific training programs.
Her passion is to promote quality education for students and inspire educators to unlock their full potential and to drive transformation in their communities.
She is married to Harold Monu and they are blessed with 4 wonderful children.
Dr. Kehinde Nwani
Dr. Kehinde Nwani is a visionary educator, transformational business leader, and social entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience spanning education, law, and the non-profit sector. A trained lawyer with a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), she transitioned from law to education, driven by her deep passion for societal development and nation-building.
As the Founder & CEO of Meadow Hall Group, she has led its growth from a small summer school with 24 children in 2002 into a thriving educational conglomerate comprising several subsidiaries, including Lagos Preparatory and Secondary School, a private College of Education, and an Edutainment Company. Her commitment to quality education also led to the creation of Meadow Hall Foundation, which supports public schools and educators through various initiatives.
Beyond Meadow Hall, Dr. Nwani’s expertise in school transformation, leadership development, executive coaching, and strategic planning has made her a sought-after consultant. As the MD/CEO of Mead Consulting Inc, she continues to drive impactful change by empowering leaders and organizations to achieve sustainable success through thoughtful leadership and strategic foresight.
A passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, she founded A Beautiful Life by Kenny, a non-profit initiative dedicated to helping women reach their full potential in everyday life. Her nation-building efforts extend to various transformative programs, reflecting her unwavering dedication to elevating educational standards and leadership excellence in Nigeria.
Dr. Kehinde Nwani’s journey is a testament to how passion and leadership can drive national transformation through education. She is happily married to Mr. Andy Nwani, her husband of 35 years, and they are blessed with three adult children and a grandson.
Dr. Abimbola Ogundere
Dr. Abimbola Ogundere is an internationally recognised Global Education Leadership Expert, School Leadership Coach, best-selling author and sought-after trainer and speaker on Education Leadership, the Business of Education, and the advancement of Quality Education in Sub-Saharan Africa.
She is the Founder and CEO of Kids’ Court School, a renowned Nursery and Primary school in Lagos, Nigeria, founded in 2009 when she was 27 years old. She is also the Founder and CEO of Court Hill College, a coeducational secondary school in Lagos, Nigeria founded in 2021. Both schools have grown from start-ups of 10 to 12 students to international education institutions of over 500 students with local and internal accreditations from recognised bodies such as Cognia, Association of International Schools in Africa, British Council, Cambridge International Assessments, Association of Private Educators in Nigeria and Association of International School Educators of Nigeria.
In 2018, due to her enthusiasm for qualitative education provision, she started the Learning As I Teach (LAIT) Foundation, Africa, a non-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of education received by average African children.
LAIT Africa bridges educators’ access barrier to qualitative professional development by providing these opportunities at minimal cost and via multiple channels and media.
From 2018 to 2019, the Learning As I Teach Foundation held monthly professional and personal development seminars and conferences for over 5,000 teachers in Nigeria.
In 2020, the Learning as I Teach Foundation launched The Right Teacher Academy, a 10-week virtual transformative immersion program born out of the solutions-driven reformist work being done by the foundation to address the unending inequities and inadequacies that exist in the education sector across Africa made even more obvious by the demands that arose from the COVID 19 pandemic.
Over 3000 teachers across Africa, including 265 Evaluators of The Office of Education Quality Assurance, Lagos State Nigeria have graduated successfully from the academy since its inception. All fellows of the academy graduate with increased capacity to take their place as key positive influencers in the 21st century.
Understanding the vital role that school leaders play as the second most important school-based factor influencing students’ outcomes, the Learning as I Teach Foundation launched the Succeeding at Leading a Learning Community Executive Coaching (SALLC) program in January 2020. The program empowers, equips, and energises school leaders to lead themselves and their schools to effectiveness, impact, growth, and sustainability. Over 200 school leaders across 15 states in Nigeria have completed the SALLC program since its inception.
Dr Abimbola Ogundere is the author of education-focused bestselling books such as The Right Teacher, The ABC of Teacher Professionalism, Hiring Right, The Complete Guide to Succeeding at School Leadership, and Leadership for Wellbeing in Schools. Her books have been read by over 5000 educators across the African continent.
In 2018, the Learning as I Teach Foundation was awarded the “Best Education Collaboration in Nigeria” by the Archlights Foundation.
In March 2021, Dr. Abimbola Ogundere was awarded as one of Leading Ladies Africa’s 100 Most Inspiring Women 2021 and Elvaridah’s Five Outstanding Women in Business.
In 2022, Dr. Abimbola Ogundere was recognised as The Educator by Entrepreneur East Africa and Mastercard.
In 2024, she was recognised as one of the 50 Exceptional Women in Education by STEM Teachers Rewards and Empowerment Foundation (STREF).
Dr. Abimbola Ogundere is a North American Montessori certified teacher with a Post graduate certificate in Educational Leadership from Roehampton University, London, United Kingdom, a certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education, Boston Massachusetts and a certificate in High Impact Leadership from the Institute of Sustainability Leadership, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Dr. Abimbola Ogundere holds a Master of Arts in Applied Educational Leadership degree from the Institute of Education, University of London, United Kingdom.
Dr. Abimbola Ogundere is also a medical doctor with a Master of Science in Public Health degree from the University of London, United Kingdom.
She is a Christian who is happily married with three children.
Dr Joy Isa
Dr Joy Isa is an energetic woman who is passionate about education and counselling. As a firm believer in on-going professional development, she has completed courses run by the prestigious Harvard Graduate School of Education, completed her doctoral studies in education with specialisms in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. She has worked in British and American International schools across Nigeria for almost three decades, and served briefly as President of Barwaaqo University, an all-female University of Education in East Africa. Dr Isa now serves as President of ISED, the Isa School of Education – a college of education set up to influence change among educational leaders in Africa. She also serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Osnan Academy and as Chair of the Management Board of the Pistis Leadership and Life Institute, an arm of Pistis Foundation.
She is currently the Director of Marketing and Admissions at Rugby School Nigeria.
Dr. Isa is a sought-after facilitator of professional development for educators across Nigeria using both face-to-face and online platforms. She has facilitated PD courses, seminars and workshops for COBIS (Council of British International Schools), AISEN (Association of International School Educators of Nigeria), and APEN (Association of Private Educators in Nigeria). She has supported curriculum development and facilitated short programmes for TFN (Teach for Nigeria. She has also supported curriculum development and facilitated short programmes for CCE (Corona College of Education) in Nigeria and received an award for outstanding facilitator of the year (2018). This has culminated in setting up the Isa School of Education (ISED), to continue to influence change among educational leaders in Africa.
Dr Isa is a WIMBIZ associate and mentor, and a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management Consultants. As a sought-after youth counsellor and speaker, supporting children and young people through varied challenges ranging from inclusion needs in mainstream school, to educational and vocational issues, emotional issues, relational issues, family issues, sexual issues, and dealing with abuse. She has partnered with several NGOs working in Nigeria to provide counselling and training for young people, teachers, school management and parents. She has also supported school improvement initiatives in private schools across Nigeria.
Dr Isa has a strong passion for the Kingdom of God and has served in youth ministries and discipleship ministries. Her first book – Inspired to Chat – provides conversations that address some of the challenges faced by young people, from a bible-based perspective.
Barr. (Mrs.) Doris Chinedu-Okoro
Barr. (Mrs.) Doris Chinedu-Okoro is a highly respected and sought-after educator, with a passion for delivering quality education through world-class leadership in schools. Born into a legacy of fulfilled teaching, she initially trained as a lawyer, briefly serving as a barrister and solicitor of the Federal Republic, before fully embracing her true calling – Education.
She is the founder and CEO of the Evergreen Group, a conglomerate comprising Evergreen Schools, Evergreen College, Rosedale Academy, Evergreen Kitchen, Evergreen Consult, and Evergreen Foundation. Barr. (Mrs.) Doris Chinedu-Okoro is not only a Founder/CEO but also an esteemed education consultant, speaker, and mentor to numerous teachers and school owners. Her impact extends through platforms like the Evergreen Consult Internship Program (ECUIP™) and School Owners’ Hangout ™, both products of Evergreen Consult, which have trained hundreds of teachers and scores of school owners and school leaders since their inception in 2013, reshaping the landscape of education in the Southeast.
She is also the visionary force behind the Southeast Educator’s Conference, an extension of the Evergreen Foundation, dedicated to empowering educators in the Southeast for impactful and transformative performance. Rhoda Akigbo

As a Curriculum Theorist and Learning Strategist, she has broken barriers to support the creation of inclusive, high-impact learning environments where every child, regardless of background, can thrive.
Before becoming CEO, Rhoda served as Head of Africa Programs at Kizazi, partnering with governments and local partners to design scalable school models that merge global best practices with contextual relevance. Earlier, as Regional Director of Academics at NewGlobe, she led programs reaching 700,000 children and trained 25,000 teachers across Nigeria, advancing data-driven instruction and equitable learning strategies.

Debbie Afemikhe Abinoma
Debbie Afemikhe Abinoma is a seasoned teacher, educational consultant, and passionate advocate for transformative learning. With over three decades of experience in the teaching profession, she has dedicated her career to ensuring that education is impactful, child-centred, and future-driven. Her vision is to see the educational sector revamped, with teachers embracing innovative approaches and learners receiving the right foundation to thrive.
Debbie began her career as a classroom teacher, where she spent nearly 20 years shaping young minds. This wealth of classroom experience has made her training practical, relatable, and highly effective. She understands firsthand the challenges of classroom management, discipline, effective teaching, and supporting struggling learners.
Her deep love for children led her to specialise in Special Needs Education. She holds both a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Special Needs Education and has used this knowledge to promote inclusivity in learning. Over the years, she has trained teachers and schools in Asaba and beyond—including institutions in Onitsha, Enugu, Awka, and other parts of Nigeria. She also serves as a consultant to The Wins School in Enugu.
Debbie is the convener of the annual Revamp Conference, a highly regarded platform that brings together educators to share ideas, strategies, and innovations in teaching. She has also hosted impactful initiatives such as the Parents and Educators Hangout and seminars for both parents and children. In addition, she runs Nurturing Families, a parenting platform that addresses real-life parenting issues and provides practical guidance for raising children.
Her vision is bold and inspiring: to position schools in Asaba on the global stage as models of excellence and innovation in education.
Debbie is also the Director of Education at Daisies Pride School, an inclusive institution she established to reflect her commitment to quality learning for all children. Beyond academics, she nurtures spiritual growth by running a Bible Club for teenagers and adults, equipping them with values rooted in God’s word.
Passionate, God-fearing, and deeply committed to the welfare of children, Debbie Afemikhe Abinoma continues to be a voice of change and a beacon of hope in the educational landscape.
Nneka Ene
Nneka Ene is a distinguished scholar and entrepreneur with a multifaceted background spanning healthcare, theology, business, and psychology. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria, and a Diploma in Theology from the Redeemed Christian Bible College. In 2024, she earned her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Daystar University, Nairobi, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with research interests in the intersection of faith, mental health, and community resilience.
Beyond academia, Nneka is an Executive Director at Nathan Claire Africa, Founder and CEO of Dress African Ltd and Co- founder Hospitality & Logistics Ltd, three thriving organizations committed to economic empowerment and employment creation. Her entrepreneurial journey is driven by a passion for capacity building and sustainable impact.
Nneka Ene was ordained as a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 2010. Alongside her husband—also an ordained pastor—they lead RCCG Victory Parish in Nairobi, Kenya, and have played a pivotal role in establishing three additional parishes in the region. Her leadership extends to the Queen Esther’s Generation (QEG) Board of Trustees, where she helps coordinate monthly outreach programs that empower over 2,000 women.

Eni Ogon

Teacher Chike
Teacher Chike is a multiple award-winning educator and influential voice in education, with a dynamic online presence that reaches over one million followers. Through his content, he inspires young people with values-driven motivation and practical lessons that demonstrate how education can be both transformative and profitable in today’s world.
In 2023, he was named Delta State Champion and First Runner-Up Nationwide in the prestigious Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition, a testament to his dedication to excellence in teaching and youth development.

David Ogunshola
David Ogunshola is an innovation catalyst, technologist, and education futurist on a mission to raise 100,000 under-20 startup founders of African origin by 2040—and scale at least 10,000 of them to $1 million valuations by 2050.As the Founder and CEO of EarlyFounders Labs, he is architecting a new model of learning that fuses technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship. His work centers on building Africa’s NextGen Founder Factory—an ecosystem that empowers teenagers to design, build, and launch real ventures before age 20, with systems designed to operate anywhere in the world.
Over the past decade, David has launched and led transformative ventures at the intersection of education, innovation, and impact. Mr. Odetola Ebenezer Israel
Odetola Ebenezer Israel is an Innovative Pedagogical Design Strategist with over a decade of transformative contributions to education across Nigeria and Africa. With a solid background in creative arts, school consulting, early childhood education, and digital content creation, Odetola is a trailblazer in reimagining learning environments using African-inspired designs that are inclusive, instructive, and welcoming. He is the founder of Ebencut, Creative Mind Educo, and CME Foundation, organizations dedicated to empowering educators and students through cutting-edge resources, impactful training, and transformative school projects.

Olamitoyosi Babatunde
Olamitoyosi Babatunde is a global education leader, certified Montessori Directress, author, and life and leadership coach with nearly 20 years of experience in education and school leadership. She holds degrees in Foreign Languages and Industrial & Personnel Relations from the University of Ibadan, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and is a registered professional teacher. Dr. Lanre Abolaji Oguntoye, Ed.D., MSc., BSC., PGDE, PGD-Theology, FIMC, CMC, MIEE, CCTP, MNIM, MTRCN
Dr. Lanre Oguntoye is an accomplished educator, school leader, and learning innovation strategist with over 25 years of progressive experience across teaching, curriculum leadership, educational technology, and academic administration. He is currently a senior management staff at Greensprings Educational Services, where he oversees academic strategy, staff training and performance, and curriculum innovation within a British international curriculum context.
A certified management consultant and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Dr. Oguntoye combines deep subject expertise in science education with extensive training in instructional design, digital pedagogy, and trauma-informed educational practices. His doctoral research explored educational leadership through the lens of learning design and digital pedagogy, reflecting his commitment to innovation, equity, and learner-centred leadership.
He is the Lead Consultant at ERID Education and founder of Teach2Reach, an SDG4-aligned initiative committed to advancing teacher capacity and professional growth across Africa. As a Cambridge Assessment Specialist, HP IDEA Senior Innovation Fellow, and INSEA Ambassador, Dr. Oguntoye champions instructional innovation, restorative discipline models, and schoolwide strategies for student agency, digital resilience, and 21st-century learning design.
Dr. Oguntoye is widely recognised for developing pioneering tools such as the Locus Visual Mapping Tool (LVMT®) and the Google Classroom Master Course, both of which are transforming how educators and learners engage with content. Juliet Ugwu
Mrs. Juliet Ugwu is a seasoned education leader with over 20 years of experience spanning teaching, school leadership, and educational development. She is a results-driven professional deeply committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of learners.
She holds a Bachelor of Science (Education) and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Lagos, a Postgraduate Diploma in Pastoral Leadership from Redeemer’s International Leadership Academy, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
Mrs. Ugwu has held senior leadership roles in reputable educational institutions, where she has driven measurable growth and institutional transformation through strategic, innovative, and people-centred leadership. She is widely recognised for her articulate leadership style and her ability to position schools for long-term success in competitive environments.
In 2017, she joined Bowine International School as its pioneer Head of School, where she established the school’s academic standards, culture, and operational framework. She currently serves as Executive Director, leading strategic growth initiatives and advancing educational innovation.
